Terra Soft Showcases Black Lab v2.2, CxC, Mellanox Infiniband, G5s runnnig YDL at SC2003

Phoenix, Arizona -- 17 November 2003 -- Terra Soft Solutions, Inc., the leading developer of integrated PowerPC Linux solutions, showcases Black Lab v2.2 on Apple Xserves, CxC by Engineered Intelligence, and Mellanox Infiniband on Apple G5s running Yellow Dog Linux.

At booth #2019, as a guest of Engineered Intelligence, developers of the powerful parallel programming language CxC(R), Terra Soft is proud to showcase Apple Xserves running Yellow Dog Linux v3.0.1, CxC, and Black Lab v2.2. In addition, Terra Soft is showcasing 2 G5s running Yellow Dog Linux and CxC with fully supported Mellanox Infiniband high-speed interconnect. Additional G5s interconnected with Infiniband are located at the Ames Scalable Computing Lab booth #329.

Black Lab is a cluster build and management application for PowerPC HPC clusters running Yellow Dog Linux. At the heart of the new Black Lab is a unique PowerPC Linux kernel with BProc 3.x (developed at Los Alamos National Lab) and Supermon. Black Lab v2.2 offers:
