These beta releases provide Y-HPC customers the opportunity to evaluate and provide feedback on IBM's compilation technology.

Beta XL C/C++ Advanced Edition V7.0 for Y-HPC Linux and XL Fortran Advanced Edition V9.1 for Y-HPC Linux introduces IBM's existing highly optimizing Linux compilers to the Y-HPC platform supporting both 32- and 64-bit native compilation. The compilers provide:
- Portfolio of extensive loop and whole program optimizations.
- Language standards compliance (ISO C 1999, ISO C++ 1998 and revised ISO C++ 2003, FORTRAN77, Fortran 95 and subset Fortran 2003 draft).
- Support for IBM and industry extensions such as OpenMP API V2.0, gcc/g++ source compatibility (subset).
