In the spring of 2004, Terra Soft was engaged by LLNL to provide a cluster for use in a high-security "vault" (once it goes in, it never comes out). After a year of system design, construction, and extensive testing, the cluster was moved into the vault in the summer of 2005.

The physical construct of the systems is comprised of the following:

18 x dual 2.0GHz G5 Xserve Cluster Nodes.

2 x Xserve RAID cabinets.

FibreChannel connection from Xserves to RAID.

Gigabit ethernet cluster control.

Yellow Dog Linux OS pre-installed.

Y-HPC cluster construction suite pre-installed.

On-site, hands-on training.
