"I am the OS Analyst at Directions on Microsoft. I use Yellow Dog Linux for two reasons. First, to extend the life of my original iMac which I do not feel has the horsepower to run X. Second, it allows me to look at what MSFT is saying about Linux and as appropriate, refute it.

For example I am writing an article on IIS 6.0 and using Yellow Dog with Apache to compare what MSFT is doing with what is available in the Linux community. Finally, it allows me to see the fast level of improvement in things such as installers, etc.
