Established in 1997 by artists and programmers who viewed the young internet as a great new medium for expression and communication. Bill 'Rusty' Jennings, Partner and Technical Director states, "As SiteWorks found that it was building more and more web sites and applications to run on Linux servers, it seemed only natural to install Yellow Dog Linux on our production machines and enable our programmers to have the best of both worlds. Macintosh for the WYSIWYG development tools, Adobe GoLive and PhotoShop, and Yellow Dog Linux for building MySQL and postgres databases as well as writing PHP, Perl and Java code.
Aside from our cool dual boot workstations, SightWorks now maintains a G4 server running Yellow Dog Linux and a hacked version of the Icecast Streaming Server. This server supports hundreds of streaming mp3 radio listeners at any given time!"
