TERRA SOFT SHOWCASE

YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been using linux for years--on the intel/amd cisc platform. If there's one thing I hate, it's hardware issues. The Macintosh has always provided excellent hardware. And, let's face it, how often do we see hardware incompatibilities between components on an Apple?

Thus it was that I decided to combine two things I love best in the world: the linux operating system and the Macintosh computer. I should level with you. The first linux on mac OS I used was Debian based. It was actually quite good; however, it didn't quite give me all of the interface features that I've come to know and love.

Having been a bit reluctant about YDL, I stuck with the Debian base for as long as I could stand it. Reading a bit more about the features and functionality of YDL, I decided to give it a try. I downloaded YDL 4.0 and restarted one of my G3's.

FAR SUPERIOR TO MOST DISTRIBUTIONS OF LINUX
Yellow Dog Linux was INCREDIBLY easy to load, to setup, and to operate (fully functional with all of my hardware [including my airport card]) in about 30 minutes. It was so easy it was almost scary. This distribution is FAR SUPERIOR TO MOST DISTRIBUTIONS OF LINUX I'VE EVER SEEN. Mind you, I'm a Slackware fanatic--few distros can top the original--but Yellow Dog Linux has made me a believer. I not only downloaded the distro, I actually (me, of all people) BOUGHT a distribution from you guys. If you had any idea of how rarely I break down and buy Linux, believe me, you'd be proud of yourselves.

Those folks not convinced of the greatness of Yellow Dog OBVIOUSLY HAVEN'T TRIED IT!!!!!!

Sincerely,
Carl Christopherson, MS
