"I used Yellowdog to convert an old 7500/100 powermac into a full-time webserver, file-server, and print-server that was running about 3x as fast as the beige G3 that was performing similar services. Not the most unique use for Linux, but... =]
I don't have to worry about my mother deleting the system folder anymore.
I also put YDL on an old PPC computer and gave it to my mother. I don't have to worry about viruses or having her accidentally delete the system folder anymore. It's great!" --Sara
