Synergy's VME boards provide 4 superscalar Power PC G4 processors working in tandem (SMP) for your DSP and array processing applications. This potent combination delivers multiple GFLOPS of performance when used with the Synergy Scientific Subroutine Library. This powerful library provides hundreds of hand-optimized functions, specifically tuned for the VSS4 to deliver maximum performance. The VME VSS4 is not only powerful, but easy to program too, thanks to its PowerPC CPUs. Better still, the board's P0-PCI bus lets you connect multiple SBC (single board computers) with a high-speed PCI bus using your existing VME64x backplane for parallel SMP processing.

As the default embedded OS, Yellow Dog Linux is included with each board shipment. In addition, YDL is used in-house as the preferred development OS throughout their facilities.
