The following
WERE officially supported through Yellow Dog Linux v5.x and may function with the current release, with some devices (ie: sound,
video) not fully supported. In addition, those which do not offer a bootable DVD reader may require netbooting or the use of CD ROM images. The netboot
image is available on the YDL DVD. CD ISOs (images) are not available from Terra Soft:
New World ROM G3s (anything before the G4 product line): Blue & White tower, iMac G3, iBook G3
The following
WERE officially supported through Yellow Dog Linux v4.x and may function with the current release if netbooted from a local
server or if CD images are prepared. "Pre-DVD" Apple computers were not able to boot from a DVD disk image and therefore required the use of multiple
CD images which were not officially supported by Terra Soft with the release of YDL v5.x, but were posted to the
YDL.net
Enhanced server and public mirrors:
Pre-DVD Power Macs, Powerbooks, iMacs, iBooks, eMac
The following

Here is a link to an untried (by Terra Soft) how-to for
installing YDL 3.0 on the IBM RS/6000 43P model 7248. The packages should work but are completely untested. The installer
will fail so you will have to manually install all packages ... more is provided on the Champion Server HOWTOs page.
The following will simply
NOT FUNCTION with Yellow Dog Linux (try as you may):
WGS 9150, 8150, 6150
